Apartment Review
You get what you pay for

Im a day sleeper so i know about the value of a well built apartment and for the most part, these apartments were well built. sadly, that was the last attention theyve seen that didnt go to the lowest bidder. outside the place is nothing special. wooden siding, unless shared porch (downstairs) with unattractive and impossible to keep clean "sliding" glass door. front porch has a light with a short in the wiring so unless i want to get my mail and open my door in the dark, i have to replace the bulb twice a week or carry a flashlight. parking is horrible. the parking lot was not built big enough so sometime since this place was built somebody decided to paint the lines 6-12 inches closer together to make 1-2 more spots. the residents usually fix that problem by taking 1 1/2 spots or by opening their doors into your car. as for the inside, again nothing special. standard low grade fixtures and cabinets. has a bathtub slighty larger than your average apartments tub but youll shower instead because little chunks of calcuim deposits float around in the tub with you if you take a bath due to some problem with the plumbing that seems to confuse the maintenance guy. dishwasher works but takes forever and is very loud. stove and refrigerator work well though -nothing special about them but at least they work. Laundry facilities often have puddles of water on the filty floor -try real hard not to drop any socks when empting the "dryer" dryer is in quotes because you have about a 1 in 4 chance of getting even a small load to dry completly on 1$ (during the winter months you odds of getting dry clothes are even worse) my advice is just remember you get what you pay for -you might be better off paying an extra 40$/mo instead of moving in here. More parking places for me that way :) |
