Apartment Review for Sand Dollar Apartments - Tulsa, OK

I just moved into Sand Dollar this month and like all apartments, I find it has both positive and negative aspects. Positive- My apartment has a balcony that overlooks a rather large pond. It's a lovely view. I hear that geese land in it occasionally. That's a huge perk for this country girl. Positive- brand new washer, dryer, dishwasher, carpet and linoleum Positive- Wood burning fireplace Positive- Plenty of available parking Positive- Reasonably priced. Negative- 61st and Riverside (one of the shadiest, most crime-ridden locations in Tulsa) Negative- I constantly worry about someone trying to break into my car. It could be someone from the scuzzy neighborhoods that surround this place or even someone that lives two doors down. There are some shady looking characters that live here. And that may be profiling, but if you don't want to be profiled, stop looking like scary, gun-toting thug. Negative-Ambulance and police sirens are constantly heard in the background here. It's a little embarrassing when I have guests. It's like, there goes another... Negative- They do not accept debit/credit cards. Who really wants to go get a money order every time they pay rent' And do they still even make checks' Kind of an archaic concept these days. Negative-Part of the reason I moved here is because these apartments are supposed to be gated...well, that may be true but it doesn't help when there is a big gap in the gate. They should really get that fixed. And they should start closing the gate at night.
