Apartment Review for London Square Apartments - Tulsa, OK

The other reviews said it all, but I'd like to add that now, with yet another management change in 2007, NOTHING has changed. Don't let them fool you. They are still claiming to do background checks yet I see drug deals and drug use in the alleys and on porches. The pools are dirty, closed, and many filled in. The fire hazards combined with lazy neighbors caused an entire building to catch fire recently and looting seems to be a concern in the empty building. There have also been recent thefts, according to the very security guys assigned to protect the buildings.

Security staff changes with high turnover, those who are on security don't seem to care much about what goes on (other than speeding), and I have actually had my security reports get LOST by the HEAD of the security here.

They claim to have a "three-strikes-you're-out" policy yet in the seven months I have lived here I have made way more than 10 noise complaints, three in writing, with nothing done. The people next door blast rap music and smoke so heavily we actually CANNOT USE one of our two bedrooms that we are paying rent for! It is now a near-empty storage room. We have had a severe roach problem not to mention--get this-- MICE. Yes, mice. Their solution was to give me one little chunky block of poison, not nearly enough for all the mice in the walls. We bought D-Con ourselves and the stink of dead rotting mouse corpses filled the place.

Like everyone else has said, there are A/C problems (the window units have been replaced by central air, but they haven't switched it so we are all sweltering, yet over half the windows won't open and we're afraid to open the rest for fear of looting, thieving, murder). I have seen other apartments with windows that cannot be locked.

There are electrical problems (the only bedroom we COULD use had no outlets for seven months), and other maintenance problems (our dishwasher and closet doors have never worked nor been replaced). It is a scary place to have a family. Other people who do have children let them run amok and screaming fills the courtyards from 3 PM till night.

If you live here, call the tenant's union. If you don't--stay away.
