Apartment Review for Heatherwood - Tulsa, OK

When I first moved in the grounds were well maintained and improvements were being made. They do still look beautiful from the street. That stopped about three years ago before some of it was completed. As a result much of the area around the apartments is dirt/mud all the time. Swimming pools are poorly maintained and rarely opened. Sidewalks are dug up for months at a time; tenants walk over plywood planks because management will not hire contractors to do the work. Heating and air system is overdue for maintenance and very inefficient. Cost of utilities for a 900 sq foot apartment than for many three bedroom homes! It is very quiet, the older neighbors are wonderful, and it has felt very much like a neighborhood. Unfortunately the declining condition no longer appeals to retirement-aged neighbors and they have resorted to renting to younger and less considerate people. The vacancy rate of upstairs apartments is very high. Too bad the standard of upkeep has come down because for years this was a highly desirable complex and people had to wait to get an apartment there.
